Lower Control Arm bolts

My 07 is a whited painted front bumper, in the center is a black plastic/ rubber bumper I call it, its probably for people to put your feet to step up to look into the engine compartment. The black has faded and I want to pull it and paint it. Does anyone have any experience on how to remove this piece?? It appears it might be held in by clips. Can I just pry it up gently with a screw driver or a plastic scraper or something?? Any help and guidance would be appreciated. Thank you

Get under the truck and look up. You'll see the tabs that hold it down. Prying might break the tabs... they need to be relieved first. Best done when the bumper is off but I think it's doable from below

I just took a closer look in between the rain drops, it may appear that you have to pinch the 2 tabs from underneath and pry up from the top ?? Just guessing.
Yes... the tabs need to be squeezed. That's why it's easier done with the bumper off the truck but you may be able to get your hand in there from below.

Yes Gentlemen you are all correct, I was able to get under and squeeze the tabs while my wife pried up with a plastic puddy knife, I cleaned it all up and light sanded and put a fresh coat of black paint, it looks like brand new. Thank you all so much. Wondering if I can do the same with the plastic inner fender well covers that I paid extra for ??
They are also starting to look very rough. Thanks again,
