Howdy all. My 06 recently had the front turn signals stop working. I had a Boss V-plow installed in November. During the first snow I noticed the left signal was flashing faster than normal. Presumed that a bulb was out. Checked the fronts and the left one was not working, but it wasn't working on the plow either. Two days later the right one was flashing fast as well. No front signal. Rear signals still work. All fuses, relays and what not are fine. But, there is still no power to the front signals. I took the truck to the place that installed the plow, just to rule them out. They spent most of the day trying to figure it out, and could not. So it is going to the dodge dealer on Tuesday. Anybody ever experience this? How are the signals controlled? Through the pcm or ecm?

There is a Flash to correct this issue. The dealer told me it was specifically to correct issues with trailer wiring harnesses adding extra draw on the trucks electrical system, however, like most trips to the dealer they were not quite correct. TSB #08-021-06 TIPM flash. This applies if your truck was built prior to April 03, 2006. They flashed mine and now it works just like it should. The TIPM controls your lights and I think there are a couple of them on your truck. (front and rear). Not sure on that maybe someone else knows.

DFitzwater,

Update. Got the truck back this evening all fixed up. Gave the Service Manager the TSB# and he took it and ran. He said that helped. They had never dealt with that problem, and they didn't have to spend the time trying to find it. Thanks again for the info. It was right on the money.
