Really would like to see some oil sample numbers from some of you FS2500 guys. .
You can do it. I have faith in You.
i'll do it but it's going to take a while to rack up some miles.....
just changed the oil with rotella CI and full flow fleetguard filter, left in the FS 2500 filter as it only had about 4000 miles on it.
it's an 07 5. 9 4x4 auto with the under the hood mounted FS2500 that takes the bleed off from on top of the stock filter mount and drains back into the valve cover. truck only has 23000 on the ticker. amsoil drop in, boost fooler and advanced timing (1. 5 degrees i think). 34 inch tall, 71lb tires. all stock other wise.
i never haul much over about 600 hundred pounds though, so it won't tell you hard working types much.
Honestly though, with my driving habits being as tame as they are, i could probably get way more miles from an oil change with NO added filtering, but i'll post em when i get about 7000..... aprox 4-6 months unless fuel costs slow me down.
outside of anything that would damage my truck, if you have suggestions for making the results "straight" let me know, i could do a quick oil/air/filters change (i'd kinda like to see CJ results anyway) and remove my boost fooler and timing to reset for better results. i still won't be hauling much weight though.
btw, i've never done oil analisys before.
