fuel filler upgrade?

I heard someone talking about an upgrade to the filler neck. What is it? And does it allow you to FILL your tank without taking forever? If so, then where do I get it!

Its called fuel tank vent mod. You can get the kit either from Glacier Diesel Power Glacier Diesel Power - Product Detail or InnerTruck.com '03 and up Dodge Fuel Tank Vent Kits. You move the vent location to a higher part of the tank. Makes filling up shorter. I'm glad I did it and its not that hard to do.

Its easy to do as long as you can get your fuel lines off, if the dorman fitting is angled wrong its a real pita... don't ask how I know. I ended up (on my Dad's truck) dropping the driveshaft to make more room, lowering the tank a bit and then pulling all the fuel lines out of the holders on the frame. That way I could lower the tank without unhooking the fuel lines. I wish I would have done that before I sent three hours with my arm jammed up under the truck trying to get the fittings loose... .

end of story the mod works great and Dad can fill his tank full and much faster.

Do the Vent Kit. Run the tank to past empty and just lower the tank. As you start to lower it you can reach the fuel line fittings (I slipped cable ties around each fitting to hold the release open). Gives you the opportunity to really clean the tank (while you have it off) and put filters (I used VW fuel filters) on the 2 evaporation vent fittings. Not that hard, I did it by myself in one afternoon. Used a floor jack with a piece of plywood to spread the load. Empty, the tank is not very heavy.
