I have been struggling through wiring issues. Repaired splices in trailer wiring (previous owner) then replaced TIPM. I believe wiring is resolved but through this ordeal my fuel gage quit working.

When I do the instrument cluster check my fuel gage goes to F then to 1/2 then to E. I believe it should go to 3/4 and 1/4 as well. Not sure what this means.

at the plug down stream of TIPM behind left front wheel I have good voltage at plug on upstream side and 0 resistance on down stream side.

What the he77 does it all mean?

I have searched forum and can only find info on 2nd gen trucks!

In case it doesn't show this is a 2006 Megacab.

Have you dropped your tank and checked the fuel float or fuel pump. The fuel pump might be going out. Someone else have any input here?

I have tank loose (straps loosened lines disconnected was really going after plug but as yet have not been able to get plug undone. Decided to go the dash route currently trying to locate wiring diagram to ensure wiring is good to cluster. Don't understand pump though truck has been running good.

Wiring for fuel level sensor attached.

Sag/Dan I believe I have resolved the issue. Appears to have been bad connection at C135 (I believe that is the number) behind lt frt wheel. Next step, reassemble and off to feed store as animals were down to the last day of feed!
Thanks again Sag/Dan

After rereading this post I feel I need to qualify why a fuel gage was making me nervous about making trips in the truck. I have had this truck for about 4 issue free years and somewhat recently my rear right turn signal quit working. As my troubleshooting began I found many splices (for trailer) in the rear chassis wiring harness. I corrected splices then replaced TIPM. New TIPM fixed issue for a few days. Then new electrical issues crept up including fuel gage. Was new TIPM bad? Splices no good etc. My fear was new TIPM was bad. As it ends up connector C135 was bad. I felt if I could track down fuel gage issue as it was not affected by splices I could determine if it was related to new TIPM. I chose 911 possibly in error as I needed to be able to make a trip for feed and also I am heading West to pick up more livestock I have already purchased. I hope this makes me look less like a dipsh!t!
