I finally tried the fuel sender fix.

It worked!!!!

Now after many thousands of miles I can really tell the level of fuel in my tank.

I used a curcuit board standoff screw to repair the sender unit. The nuts were 3/16 inch SMALL. I used two nuts to lock them.

Sorry I did not take pictures, I know I could have done that.

Before I put the tank back I replaced the fuel lines from frame to tank. Those pvc line were short and looked like they were close to cracking.

I used my dremel tool to take the lines off the steel lines at the frame and the nipples at the tank, used good fuel rubber hose to replace with stainless clamps.

Here is a link to the repair I duplicated except I did not put a spring on my screw. Don't think it is necessary and mine was not long enough.

Drop that tank

I had to drop my tank, cause I got 5th wheel and goose neck ball bolted to the frame so my bed would be a bear to remove, plus I have a 100 gal tank in the bed. So I pumped my 1/2 tank to the 100 gal. and dropped the tank. It is worth it, just drove 180 miles and it is sitting on 3/4 tank, first time it has done that since I fixed it. I ran on the 100 gallon tank for years and did not care, about a year and half ago I started running on the 35 gallon so now I care what I have in the tank... .

Nice to have a sender that works... ;)
