Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) fuel pressure increase

I have a 99 with a fass pump i was driving the other day and noticed my fuel pressure was higher than usual, filled it up and now the gauge is staying on full and the fuel psi is up to about 21 lbs idling and theres a leak around my tank or fass cant tell yet garage not big enough and its been raining

OK... what type of gauge? Isolator? If so start here. I have seen isolators cause issues like this. Make sure you are reading correct pressure. The only the FASS pressure would increase would be a restriction on the return line. Usally it would error the other direction. You can pull the return line fitting off the FASS directly above the fuel filter, and remove the fitting installed in the FASS base. Under this fitting is a ball and spring. this is what gives you pressure. Make sure every thing seems ok..... spring not broken (Rare but is has happened), etc.....



As for the leak, Clean off the tank/FASS with some break cleaner. Get it back to square one. Try to pin point exactally where the leak is coming from.
