i have replaced the lp with a ddrp fass pump in feb because the factory style pump died an hasnt been right since, i have put several fuel filters in it holds about 14-17 psi at an idle but at about half and all the way to wot i can pull the psi to 0 i have checked all the lines for air leaks cleaned the vent on the fuel tank changed the line plastic clip on line to the pump any ideas thanks its on a 99 24 valve 3/4ton 4x4 5 speed ext cab

The ddrp could be the problem. Mine was god for about 3 months, then it got cold and has half the press than my stock lift pump.

BHowayeck and I figured that out with my truck too. I put an airtex on mine and could draw it to 0 very easily, So what I did was sent the airtex back and ordered a raptor 150 pump. It comes with a 1/2" big line kit from tank to filter. and after that my psi was fine it would draw it from 18 psi to 15. 5 psi, then I put the big line from the filter to the VP44 and it gives me 18 idle and 16 WOT. This gets rid of the banjo bolts as Howayeck said and creats less resistance to flow from bigger dia. lines. the Next thing I am doin is a draw straw.

I also realized a 1 mpg increase over my factory pump but my factory pump was dead.

I installed the DDRP and the pump is great! At idle pressure is 17 and underload, well I have never seen it drop below 16 at anytime. It has been on the truck for about 6 months now and has worked flawlessly. I am personally impressed with the quality and function of this pump compared to what came with the truck.

On a stock truck the Airtex pump will work PROVIDED you move it to the frame below the fuel tank AND install the 1/2" big line kit all the way up to the IP. You will need some adaptors for the Airtex pump to hook up to the 1/2" fuel lines.

I did this on the wife's truck and it will make about 18 psi at idle and drop down to about 14-15 psi wot on hard 5th gear pull.

I use the Baldwin 5 micron OEM replacement fuel filters which become restrict much faster than the Fleetgard and OEM filters so I strong recommend a fuel gauge to alert you when the fuel filter become restricted and catch it in time while fuel pressure is still within limits.

If you are running anything outside of stock with respect to the engine performance, get the Air Dog or FASS in addition to the 1/2" big line kit.

Draw Straw II 1/2 in. draw tube and 1/2 in. pushlock fitting

If you are not concerned about routing fuel through the OEM fuel filter cannister and fuel heater, you can just use the 1/2" fuel lines that come with the Air Dog and FASS pump kits.
