I recently had my Dual Mass Flywheel/clutch replaced with a South Bend Flywheel/clutch. After reading the posts on hard shifting I now understand why it's hard to shift into 2nd without going into 1st. The material that was provided with the clutch has a tech bulletin from Lazar Smith suggesting replacing the ATF in a G-56 with GL-6 gear oil. I'm sure most of you are aware GL-6 is an old designation.
My question is have any of you done this and how did it work out? Is GL-5 OK to use and if so what weight?
