Well guys I installed my ISSPRO Pyro Gauge, Boost & Fuel Pressure Gauge. . And the good news is the whole gauge install went pretty good. . Except for a few minor things... Like when hooking the boost bolt up with the boost hose that runs to the gauge the one compression fitting didn't look right & when I took it out it rolled somewhere on the floor and could not be found. . #@$%! And I couldn't get one because it was 8:00 at night... But today I got a new one & got the gauge hooked up and now when I get on it hard the boost gauge goes up to about 21psi... So everything is good there... . And the Pyro wasn't too hard the worst part was tapping the manifold, but one of my buddies help me out with that... We ended up separating the turbo for the manifold just to make sure no shavings got in the turbo. . And that gauge is working great... .
Now the Bad news... For my fuel pressure gauge I tapped into the bottom of my fuel filter withy a banjo bolt and once I got everything sealed back up I bumped the starter a few times and the truck ran for like 3 sec and shut off and could not be started...
So I ended up taking the Fuel Filter out and there was diesel in it but not filled all the way... so with the cap off I bumped the starter and fuel was just dribbling in from the LP... So I let it fill the canister up put the Fuel Filter back in and after about 10sec of cranking it came back to life. .
so I got all the gauges hooked up & started it up & had 0psi for my FP. . So I got a gauge off one of my buddies and hooked it up to the test port and got 0 as well so I guess I'm one of the lucky ones to have a defective LP... #@$%!
So now the truck is sitting because I don't want to run the risk of damaging the Injector Pump. . So now my next question is I'm looking to go with the FASS II... Because it has a warranty & will hopefully last longer then a new LP. . My question does this pump mount by the tank & does it totally eliminate the dying LP...
If you own a 24v truck I would deff suggest you install at least a FP gauge so you don't cost yourself a lot of money in the future to replace 2 pumps instead of one... .
