2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Gauges, which?

Ok, i am looking for some decently priced gauges that are pretty close to stock look. .



what do you guys recomend,



i am thinking of getting fuel preasure, egt, trany temp, boost



thats about it. .



hopefully the egt/boost combined i've seen them before...

I've been real happy with the ISSPRO EV series. If you get them with the orange pointers they look alot like stock. Put a green cover on the illumination bulb and they will match great at night.

Autometer sport comp through summit racing is about the best price and quality you can find. And closest to stock look, especially with the blue bulb covers.

Problem with the monitor is that you have to read it to get the value, not like a gauge where a glance will tell you if it's pointing to the correct part of the gauge. Similar to a digital watch verses an anologue one. My 2 cetts worth of info.

I like the Isspro EV series, too. I've got the first models with white pointers, but the orange pointers really match factory look.

I reall like the Hewitt guages, that looks real close to factory. Where?

I can try to get you one. I can tell you with the orange pointers and the blue bulb covers they look exactly like stock, and I've been told that by many people. Look at my pics.

I can understand your concern about looking stock, but maybe you should weigh all your options. Just because a guage doesn't look stock doesn't necessarily make it look bad. I think that if you go with a cheap guage it will look bad, but if you put some quality guages in there it makes it look trick. I went with the Westach guages years ago and they are still working great and I think that they look really good still. I get a lot of people still asking me if they are stock because they look good and fit so well. I replaced the pillar and it works well. I think that the other guages of this caliber look sharp too. Just look around and I think that if you pay about $400+ you will end up with a project that you will be happy with. By the way, I wouldn't go with a digital guage. You have to read them. They tell you the value, but you really don't read the value after a few hundred miles. You look at the needle and it is just a feeling that all is good.

Another vote for Automete if it's not too late. I just put in a fuel pressure, boost, single-channel pyro and a two-channel pyro and they are excellent. Autometer only makes a 2 1/16" two-channel pyro in the Phantom series which is white faced. It doesn't match so well but still looks good in the steering column pod. The other three gauges are Z-Series and they match very well. Most people say the two-channel pyro is over-kill anyway.



Sorry, no pics yet as I just installed them along with a new evaporator core, heater core and Edge Comp box.

I'm most likely going to go with Cobalt blue Autometer one's...

Just because i love the way they look. The only setback is they don't make one's without vacum, i know on gasoline engines you do need to know your vacum, is it the case on the diesels? Because i've seen a lot of people just have 0-60psi on their trucks. .



Anyways, i added up to about $500 for the gauges which is kind of high so for the starters i'm just going to get a Trany temp gauge, EGT and fuel preasure... and then i'll add boost gauge and water temp.



Anything else you would suggest...
