geno's widgidit block

Installed mine mid winter last year. Easy install and makes plugging in the block heater a snap. Don't have the plug flapping in the breeze either. Very happy with mine.

That is one of the first things I did when I bought mine almost a year ago. I went to a marine supply and bought a shore power plug, same thing as the Genos' deal but only 14 bucks. I mounted it on the passenger side under the front body mount pointing straight down. No more opening the hood to pull the cord out. Just cut off the plug and the wires go into the connector and it has a rubber boot to keep it dry.

Wigidigit

I just installed mine a week ago. One of the nicest mods around. I DID NOT cut the cord. I got another (two foot) piece of cord and wired it into the Wigidigit and then plugged that into the block heater cord. Couldn't bring myself to whack it off. I used the hole on the bumper where the plastic filler is if you don't have tow hooks. The hole is on the upper side of the bumper and closest to the license plate. The hole was a little larger than the bolt that came with the kit. I just used a rubber faucet gasket and a couple of regular washers to make it work out. The Wigidigit sits right in the bumper slot. No holes to drill.

Our air temps are in the middle teens at night here in Western Oregon and this gadget makes using the block heater really easy. I have a cord plugged into a heavy duty timer that is set to come on a couple of hours befor I go to work.

I received one of these things for Christmas. The instructions are not very clear about where to mount this thing. Anyone have any photos?

Here are some pictures. It mounts with only one screw into an existing hole... I was afraid that it would be too weak, but so far so good.

Much better than the cord hanging down. It also has a rubber cover to keep grime out when driving.
