Competition S&R Diesel Concepts Pull Franklin, Indiana RESULTS AND VIDEO!

Competition weekend progress

Well, with a week to go and getting nervous that my new trailer wasn't in yet... I got the call friday morning that it was ready. Picked it up and loaded up the truck for the first time on Saturday morning to make sure the trailer was big enough. I went with a 15K 20+5 gooseneck, seems to be a nice trailer and was just long enough for my truck! wish I had a bit more room but at most of my pulls alot of the guys with the larger trailers have problems so length was an issue.

Anyway, INDY here I come. The truck will only be in the Show & Shine IF I get a problem figured out. I have a knock and am hoping its just a bad injector because it knocks at idle and then goes totally away at 1500-2000rpm and runs as smoth as can be. Narrowed it down to #5 and will be pulling it tomorrow and taking to the local injection shop to get tested. (who knows, if its a piston it could be sitting on the trailer all weekend but its still comming down!!!)

Pretty pumped about the whole weekend, last year I was there for the saturday(driving thru on my honeymoon) so I didn't get to see or do much. This year the wife is staying home and 4 guys are comming down... should be a good time.

Here are some picks of the setup I snapped saturday.

Thanks! Pulled the injectors out and took them into the local injection shop to have them tested this morning. #5 injector that I thought was making noise turned out to have major issues and let go at about half the presure of the others one. Landed up throwing the stock 215 injectors back into the truck for now to see if the knock went away. Sounds ALOT better but there seems to still be something there but I could just be hearing things and paranoid. Friday on the way down we are stopping at Haisleys to pick up my brothers truck (its been there for two weeks) and Van will finally get to see the Conversion truck and I will see what he thinks of it. Personally I don't see it being a piston because other than idle when it makes the typical diesel noise it only gets smoother and quiter with RPM. Used a stethascope (no idea how to spell that) and didn't hear any difference between #5 and all the other cylinders.
