How do you folks get all the wires and stuff throught the firewall? Currently i've got about 12 wires and a few airlines going through the 2 holes on the drivers side just outboard of the brake pedal but it's getting tight and i see more gauges in the future. I considered drilling a couple holes but.....

Suggestions??

The big gromet in the firewall, just above the steering shaft that holds the large wire harness, has enough room for you to slice a 1" slot in it and get a mess 'o wires through it.

I also drilled 2 holes through the firewall, for 2 braided fuel lines, couldn't fit anywhere else. I drilled them just to the left of the steering shaft, from the inside of the cab.

Auto transmission advantage!

BHale, use the hole where the clutch master cylinder would be if you were burdened by having a stick shift trans. This hole and rubber plug or grommet are just to the left of the brake master cylinder.

There is a big rubber grommet in the hole, just cut a slit in it and feed your wires through. Use a bit of silicone sealant to keep fumes and noise from getting past the wires.

Hope this Helps: Greg L, the noise nazi

The only thing that made it hard was that I didn't do it right off the bat but using a multi conductor cable rather than a bunch of separate wires makes things a heck of a lot easier to fit. Looks better also. 12 conductor wire is easy to come by.
