I think my 2nd lift pump is failing. Just replaced it in November. I've seen it drop from 16 PSI @ idle now down to 10-11. I've been looking at the Glacier system, has anyone had any failures with it? I don't want to keep replacing something, I want to fix it and be done with it. If you installed the Glacier system what if any modifications (Big Line, Draw straw, in line filter/strainer) did you also install?

I don't see many complaints on the Walbro pumps in diesel service. I'm running on my 2nd OEM (relocated to frame) pump and still running strong after 28,000 miles. The Walbro is my first choice for next replacement.

My Brother, my grandson and a friend had gerotor pump failure in Chevy trucks in gasoline service in the last few months. These were the in-tank systems. I read where Walbro makes these pumps, but not sure.

My brother's truck had a little over 200,000 miles. My grandson's truck had about 170,000 miles and my friends truck had around 75,000 miles.

The type of failures were different. My brother and friend's truck wouldn't start in the morning. My grandson was driving 70 mph on freeway and his truck quit running.

If there are other failures with these pumps, sure would like to see your replies.

The reason I cringe everytime I hear Walbro is I had a lot of trouble with Walbro pumps... I would almost wonder if this is because they make two lines: a good one and a el cheapo???

I used external Walbros on several applications and they all would fail within a few months... good grounds, good power... they would just stop working... I must have went through over a dozen external Walbro's before I converted back to a mechanical pump on my other trucks... these were used in gassers...

I can't bring myself to associate reliability and Walbro to this day... even though everyone seems to be having good luck, I will never be able to... especially after being left stranded so many times...

In afterthought, I will add that the Walbro pumps I had trouble with were NOT the same ones used in the Glacier kit... so no one thinks that...

I'm debating between the FASS and the Walbro from Glacier diesel. With the filters the cost between the two is about the same...
