I need to remove the glove box door on my 2001.5, have searched all over the place and the closest I could come up with is the 02 but it is a different design. I can see that the hinge is plastic and do not want to break it trying to pop it loose. Would appreciate if anyone could walk me through the procedure.

My 99 is to open the door, at the black top of the box you squeeze both sides together to clear the rubber bump stops and remove the glove box. Every time I do it I think something is going to break. Open the box and look near the top of the opening, you will see what I an talking about.

That's the way my '95 and '98 are. Never heard of an "'01.5" so I thought it may have been something special.

Thanks David, got her out. Turned on the AC the other day and would only blow out of the defrost vents. Thinking the problem is with the mode door I searched the internet and found Heater Treater. Their videos for 98-02 showed electric motors. Now that I can see in there mine seem to be all vacuum operated so I may have a leak somewhere.

Nothing special about the 01.5, just short for the model year 2001.5

Check on the firewall ypu will see where the vac lines are one goes to heater controls one to 4wheel. Also under the battery tray the one to cruise control gets batt acid one and leaks.

Found it with in 15 seconds of popping the hood. The hard line had come out of the rubber L fitting a few inches in front of the power steering box. The rubber connections at both ends of the hard line are cracking real bad and will have to be replaced.
