what are some good front tires for a 2wd w/ load

range e i looked on the goodyear/michelin/ and firestone websites and only firestone seemed to carry 265/75 16's in an e load range, question is any other companies other tire companies make these tires

i am also leaning with getting 4 mud brutes in a 265 size, will it look good on a 2wd?

also about shock absorbers are a hd absorber needed or can i use performance shocks.

more questions

dt

Just FYI the mudgrips all the way around will cost you 1-2 mpg, but it would give you the ability to rotate the tires. The best E front tire I know of is the Michelin XPS but it's not available in a 265. The 235/85 is about the same height & everyone I've read that runs them swears by them.

Look at Cooper ? I run the S/T tires. Really like them. Will have a new set on Friday, if they come in tomorrow. Have the 215 at the moment, but am getting 235s this time.

They make a really nice tire. :D They wear well. Quiet on the road, too.

I have a 2002 Dodge/CTD. Michelins wore out. I put on "Remington wide brute RV" in load range E. After about 5000 miles they are wearing good. Nice tread pattern. Michelins were $175 and up. Remingtons were $115. mounted and balanced plus tax
