If true I'll be very pleased with FCA. Wondering if they are going to retrofit to CP3 or just have a "disaster prevention bypass" set-up like the kits they offer for Ford. I'll be driving the 3500 a little less as I am picking up a dedicated work van today.

I could see a bypass kit or maybe just extended warranty. From a company that won't replace a $100 drag link and just welds it I don't see them dropping a ton of money replacing all the CP4's.

FCA, Bosch and Cummins are prob the only ones that know. Currently there is no legal requirement to breakdown the number of occurrences in failures like this and there is no benefit to any company for doing so (oversell your positives, downplay your negatives).
I know I know.. just my engineering mind thinking about our risk ratio vs. the total number of failures, average miles driven, etc...... I can hope right?

I totally agree! Just don't really want to be the guy thumbing it in the middle of eastern KS!!
I bought an extended warranty as a backup, but hopefully this will not be challenged in a late term failure.

Lets see, they put a whole new SCR system under a campaign, a water pump recall and paid me for the new style drag link on a recall, along with completing 4 other recalls and one other campaign.

Only 320 hp/811 tq on the 6.7...yawn....:p

That Engine could bring the same ratings as the Cummins, in the 320hp version it is rated as in our Cab/Chassis version. For 100% duty cycle.
Would be nice to see it combined with the ZF AS-Tronic 12 Transmission as in the Iveco Eurocargo.

"Some" trucks had the SCR replaced (and they would not have done it if not forced by the EPA). "Some" trucks had the water pump replaced. And very very very few have had the drag link actually replaced (I am one of them but only after fighting with them for 3 months).

Time will tell and I hope I am wrong but if I was a betting man I would not be putting my hard earned money down that they will replace all the CP4's.

Try to re-sell a 2019-2020 to anyone that has done a little research. The 2020-2021 will be liken to the 6.4 Powerstroked Ford's. Easier to fix than the 6.4's, but value will take a big hit. Now where are those class action vampires?
