Try to re-sell a 2020-2021 to anyone that has done a little research. The 2020-2021 will be liken to the 6.4 Powerstroked Ford's. Easier to fix than the 6.4's, but value will take a big hit. Now where are those class action vampires?

I presume you mean 19-20.

Ford's don't have any problem with resale and they had the worst of the CP4s.

I think they will end up being like the 53 block, those who know don't want to buy them and those who don't will buy them all day long.

Don't you mean a 19-20 and a 6.0?

I fixed that before seeing your post.

Love those Class Action suits. They sue, win a $10,000,000 dollar Judgement, keep $9,000,000 for themselves and the 10,000 litigants that joined the lawsuit get $100 each. IF they're lucky.

I saw a case down here where an older couple got totally smashed up in a car wreck with a Big Company Truck. The truck driver was totally at fault and the people were crippled for life. Bigly. Badly.

Both were in their late 60's when it happen. So Dewey, Cheatum and Howe out of Miami takes the case and wins a $6,000,000 Judgement. They take their cut and immediately convert the remaining Millions to an Annuity. For life. No 'period certain' just for the life of the litigants.

So when they died (which wasn't long afterward) the money immediately went back to the Insurance Company.

Didja ever wonder why 90% of ALL politicians are lawyers??

don't

The QSB6.7 has certain applications that are EGR free as well since 2017 at lower hp levels. The fact they still require it at higher levels is quite telling. I'd wager Iveco would be no different.

What's interesting about that is our EGR is used mainly at low power and shut off at higher power levels.

Doesn’t that go against standard egr usage theory?

I'm not sure what the standard EGR use theory is.

All I know is that both my CTS2 and looking at OEM files show the EGR is heavier at low power and as power increases the EGR use decreases. SCR use is the opposite, and why I get ~1000 mpg empty and ~500 mpg towing for my DEF.

I’m nowhere near your understanding level on modern diesel emissions but it was my understanding that egr increases with power output/high combustion chamber temp.

That's most likely the case with non-SCR engines. With SCR there is no need to increase the EGR at higher power and the engine benefits from the reduced EGR at high loads too.

I guess so, as many have been sold, even to people that are on this forum.

Kinda like the eco boost engines. People test drive them and fall in love with the power and it's all over but the crying. The truck engines seem to fair better but the 2.0 should be renamed EcoBOMBD!

Credit and blame where it's due. The problem child 2.0l EB was completely redesigned and replaced beginning with the 2015 MY.

I give FCA big-time Kudos for realizing their mistake with the CP4, but with one caveat -- They already knew it was a stinker

You'll have to convince my Ford tech buddy that wrenches on them every day. He has night mares of cracked flex plates and head replacements.
