So I got the new headlights. I went the OEM route. Both lights came with the 9004 and 9007 bulbs already in. The quality of these lights seems to be excellent.

Now I'm waiting for the harness. I ordered it from Daniel Stern. It will be well made with good relays and heavy duty ceramic connectors and heavy gauge wire. It shouldn't be hard to connect once I get it I hope. So when I get it all in, I'll post more pics. Really excited to have it on.

If these OEM bulbs are ok, I'll keep them, if not- I'll buy the ones D. Stern recommended.

More to come :D

Happy New Year everyone!!!!!

Go ahead and install them now, they will work just like what you have now but the new lens and reflector will make it better. Then when your wiring comes in you will have that much less to do.
Huge improvement with the bulbs they come with.

Im curious if these are an improvement over the low beams on the standard headlight or if the real bonus is with the high beams? My lenses are actually in great shape (not as good as new obviously) I bought my truck from an elderly man, he was the original owner, and almost never drove at night due to his vision. Im thinking that is what has kept them as clean as they are. My high beams are more than satisfactory, but my lows are sub par. Ive been contemplating whether going to the sport lights would be better or if going to an HID would help my situation out. I definitely so like the looks of the sport lights!

Geno's ?

These lights don't look like the ones Geno's sells. They look a lot better. Are these light $200 for each one or for the pair?

I wired mine so I can run both low beams at the same time and to make it legal(one each side) I can just pull a fuse.

Yes, about $430 for both. There is no compromise on safety for me. My family will be with me, I'll drive at night, I don't want to think about it. I want the best. It might take me a bit longer to get, but I'll get it. So, I can install those now? Thanks Bob. I am also getting a module to have a daytime running lights- using the turn signals. I like that idea too.

Good luck on the install - keep us posted. I normally buy the best like you did in this case (Mopar OEM lights), but had a hard time swallowing $500+ w/Stern harnesses. I decided to cheap out on this mod and went with TYC lights and LMC harnesses - just finished wiring but haven't put the housings back in yet. Hoping I don't regret it...

Arizona sun and chineese plastic... ... . good luck

yuuup. since truck is only for weekend/recreational use (and not much of that the last few years :{), i should be ok for awhile. But if this system is not reliable, I will do the Mopar/Stern solution and take my medicine...

Do you have any contact info on where you got your harness? Just picked up a nice set of oem sports out of an 02. For being 10 yrs old, theyre in very good shape, and for 45 bucks I couldnt pass em up. Thanks for the info.

Hey Bob, how did you power up both filaments in your bulbs? That sounds like a great idea. Where I live is very rural, lots of nightlife roaming around and little traffic to worry about. Thanks for your responses so far,

JR
