Got the locker installed.

I picked up the truck just now and so far I lovet. It does ratchet a bit in a hard turn. The tech said with the long bed it will not be as noticeable as in a shortbed. Some of the cluthces did show signs of wear and everything went as planned. He did test drive it and said "man what a truck,wish I had one".

Does anybody have a complete 3. 54 anti spin carrier they pulled out and want to get rid of?

Okie, I just got an e-mail a couple days ago from Powertrax saying that they didn't have anything currently available for our rear differentials. They said they had products for the front Dana 60 but nothing yet for the Dana 80 LSD. What model number did you get? Thanks.

Okie-Go, I put a lock-right in my 96. Don't expect it to last more than a month or so. Mine would not lock both sides,from the moment I put it in. Two weeks ago I was testing, after doing a little tuning of the engine, and was somewhat surprised to have both sides unlock during a 4000 rpm burnout. Quite a disconcerting feeling,to say the least. Upon tear down, I found I could unlock both sides simply by turning the tires by hand. It seems the springs are not Strong enough for the torque our engines put out. I fixed mine by fabricating spacers to fit between the halves of the locker, of course it won't unlock at all now.

With all that power on a burn out I'm not a bit surprised it tore up. I plan on mine coming in handy in mud and wet grass. I have no plans to spin my tires on pavement. I am glad you got it fixed.

True,what had to be done was take out the lsd. Then put in an open carrier and add the locker to that. It can be done,but that is the way it has to be done.
