I bought the Dodge/Cummins mud flaps (from the Cummins store) for my truck. How should I install them? Should I use screws or bolts? I don't want them to fall off because I didn't install them correctly.

Any help would be appreciated.

red1ton,

I used black screws for my Dodge factory flaps. I think they were provided. They held on the '95 truck until I removed them to install them on the Y2K.

I did dab a bit of silicone sealant on each one to prevent rust at the unpainted edge of each hole I drilled.

If its the rear flaps that you are talking about as seen by your sig. its the big heavy dually flaps. Little screws just wont cut it, you have to use bolts. Thats what i used and they are very secure,no chance of coming loose.

may be late for you, but for a future reader,
FRONT: selftapping stainless hexheads, with large-outer-diameter stainless washers... run-em in with the cordless Makita!. . (may need to remove tire to get good angle for the drill motor. I did #ad
) Makes them look "no nonsense"

REAR: utilize the holes that the plastic fenderwell punch pins poke thru, but replace them with 1/4" stainless carriage bolts (roundheads towards tire, and nut lockwashered on underneath the truckbed...
