Hey Guys I have been contemplating getting a 2nd gen or other larger cab dodge in the near future if,and when we have another child. I found what seems like a nice 98 in the classifieds on this site being sold by holeshotholset. I am really considering making an offer, but I will have to sell my 92 first. What do you guys think it is worth. It is a 92 D250 Club cab LE w the following options along with the normal power stuff like all LE's have. I bought the truck from the original owner(a TDR member) from MI in December of 02 with 187K miles on it,and have only put 9000 miles on it since July of 2004.

Upgraded to 98 NV4500 5 speed transmission,prime-loc fuel filter relocation kit,Keldermann rear suspension air bag setup, transfer flow 38 gallon tank mounted where spare tire used to sit w/dash switch for either tank(gauge works for either),Toyo Open country E rated tires with good tread, rear end rebuilt last year, rear jump seats removed(still have them),and bench seat from www.pcvrv.com installed with 3 seat belts,Sony CD player,HI pyro gauge(pre turbo),ISSPRO boost gauge,Factory tach, aluminum cap with access doors on sides,Blue and silver two-tone paint scheme that is in pretty good shape(no rot,but some rust starting here and there),231K miles, runs great,K&N filter that is being cleaned as we speak, filters always changed with Fleetguard from Genos, replaced radiator last year along w/cummins extended life blue coolant, serpentine belt changed last year, new Cummins thermostat,Sirius sattelite Sportster cradle mounted and wired into truck(all you would need is the receiver which I am keeping),Rear brakes replaced last year,Master cylinder replaced in february(may need it again see my other posts),needs winshield due to about 10 chips in it,but I will replace that before I sell it. Thanks in advance. I love this truck, and would love to keep(I may still),but with one child, and us thinking about having another the rear bench is nice, but I don't think it will work with two car seats, even though we only use the truck for the whole family once in a while, and when we go camping.

On a side note what do you guys think I should do. I was thinking either get a 2nd gen Cummins(12V) w/5speed,a new Hemi 1/2 ton(they are giving $6000 off 4 door model 05's now plus i get 1% below invoice),New Cummins powered 3/4 ton with my discount,or have my club cab modified by someone so that I can sit 3 adults,or 2 car seats comfortably in the rear?Anyone know how I could do this fairly cheap?I do love my truck, and getting a gasser would hurt me in some ways, but I also realize I don't need such a powerful truck most of the time. I tow a 5000 lb camper maybe 6 times a year at most, and may get a car trailer for my Mazdas in the future. Thanks in advance

I don't know what it's worth. To each his own. I will tell you that the more electronic gizmoes your truck has the more problems you will encounter. Consider a 1985 crew cab with diesel conversion. And not one of them all electronic engines either, mind you.

PS, recently had an ISB drop a injection pump with 22k miles. Then another ISB VP went out the following week. Good engines when they work though. Good idea to stay with the 12 valve. I'm sure the second gens are solid trucks.

This is not intended to be a smart-aleck answer, but it's worth what someone is willing to pay for it. On the street, a 14 year old diesel truck may not be worth a whole lot, but to a Cummins addict on this (or similar) forum who is looking for a first generation truck, it may be worth a bunch. It just depends where you market it and how long you can afford to wait to get your price for it.

Thanks for the replies so far. I know any vehicle is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it,but thought I would get some ideas. I like the idea of keeping my truck, and making the cab bigger, but at 15K for one of those links is crazy. The 4K one seems like a great idea as well. I would love a nice crew cab with my engine, and transmission in it,but that is a lot of work right?Where is a good place to find a crew cab truck for a conversion?
