One of my larger friends pulled the passinger grab handle off while getting in. Where is a good online source of mopar parts like that? Thanks,Lance

Give us a call at genos garage. we have a fix that uses machined aluminum cups on the inside & outside of the part that the bolt that holds the grab handle on to keep the bolt pulling through the plastic. Scott

Scott, do you have a part number? I haven't found what you are talking about on Geno's. I am a larger person & I pulled out my handle as well!

Thanks!

Mark

there is a cheap fix, drill a small hole in the center of a copper pipe cap( i forget either 3/4 or 1") place it over the mount and reattach. if u do a search u will find a few posts on the fix.

Seems like I remember a recall on this. Or maybe I got mine fixed under warranty. As Geno's sort of hinted, it's a design fault.

Thats a great idea, I never saw any posts about that.

Same thing happened in my 06.

Found these with google seach. imcoproductsinc.com/page/dodgeramaccesories The grab handle is better than new now. Rock solid

The only trouble I have is now my quadzilla command a pillar mount just hangs, need to find a way to secure it. Thinking about a rubber plug and short big headed screw.

I didn't see them at Geno's either.

I pulled mine out last July and have been waiting for local Dodge dealer to get the part and repair it. Service writer said it would be repaired at not cost. However, the part hasn't come in and has been reordered twice now. He showed me an impressive stack of "back orders" for various Chrysler-Dodge parts. I think things are going to hell with dodge.

I have been looking at other fixes and it seems the Imco is the way to go. What holds it on, friction fit or will the bolt expand the plastic thus creating a tighter fit or what?

The copper cap would be ok and certainly a lot cheaper. Should I epoxy it on? I would probably use JB Weld. If anyone has any other suggestions, I would certainly appreciate it.
