I have been under mine 3 times looking for this grease point and have not found it yet. I have turned it several times. I will have to take a picture of mine it looks alittle different to me.

Here are some pics - hope it helps! On mine, if the u-shaped ends of the front driveshaft were up and down and the u shape end of the yolk (?) that goes into the transfer case were horizontal to the floor - it was in that position I found it.

How much grease are you guys putting in? I just greased mine for the first time since Ive owned the truck and it seems like a very small amount of grease comes out of the needle fitting.

This job is a total *****. I've been able to get mine to lube, with grease coming out of the spline, but most other times I can't get the grease to actually go in, it just oozes around the needle. I think next servicing I will just take the driveshaft out. I got the manual trans, and it is very difficult to get the correct angle on the needle so it inserts.

Amen on trying to get grease into the Cardan joint with the stick trans! It is a P.I.T.A.! It is a hassle just finding the little opening to put the grease. Thankfully now that I have the free spin hubs, I don't have to go there very often.

I have a 2014 2500 with auto trans. I do all my own service. 31K miles and three tries to find that grease point. Well today I found it and got to use the grease needle I bought from Amazon six months ago. Took it to my dealer a few months ago asking them to show me the grease point on that front shaft. They put it on a lift in the lube department, service manager and two techs could not find it. I was told it didn't have one and not to worry about it. Now it's lubed but that needle has to hit it just right. Took four pumps of grease before I seen any grease come out the other end, must have been pretty dry in there. My front shaft rotates freely with all wheels on the ground as long as it's not in 4wd,
