Wah wah wah

VW, Jetta & Golf, TDI questions?

Here's a few of my favorites:

1. DC doesn't care if I modify my truck, and will gladly replace anything my mods cause to fail. They are only interested in satisfied customers.

2. I can use any lube or other non-DC approved product on my truck I want - those labels don't mean a thing!

3. Ford owns Cummins.

4. If the dealer won't give me a free new engine for my truck just because it blew up at the dragstrip after I had installed enough aftermarket stuff to give me 700 HP, I'll just threaten him with Magnussen/Moss, and he'll be so scared, he'll probably offer to give me a whole new truck just to make me happy.

5. Why suuuure I can tow 50,000 lbs of bulge-mobile with my 2500 - those DC tow ratings are really very conservative, and really don't mean a thing... Besides, my driving skills and reflexes are so good, I can successfully overcome any unforseen failure or situation...

I'm sure others here have a few of their own... ;)

1. nope, i've never heard of anyone ever having THAT problem before.

2. you must have all your maintainance done at the dealer to "keep" your warranty.

3. you won't get a better deal anywhere!

4. oh - that noise is normal.

5. well, you see, your warranty expired last week, so it is not covered, sorry.

6. we'll give you top dollar for your trade-in!

7. well, i am really fighting for you in there, but the sales manager says that is as low as we can go.

:D

1) "Sure it will pull your 5th wheel camper. No problem, it's a diesel. "

2) "We'll take care of that under warranty after you buy the truck. "

How about (at the Ford dealer)

"oil in the crankcase, eh, where do you have your maintenance done, oh yourself, are you sure you did not accidently put fuel in the wrong filler because there is no other way for it to get there, injectors, oh we don't have any problems with injectors. :-{}

6. Do not need anything bigger than a 3500, cause it can tow safely a 50,000# bulge-mobile, and those extra wheels in the rear, give me such a safety margin, I can add a boat behind the trailer, especially with all of the add-ons I can buy for my truck, and I do not need any special driving skills, cause I drove my Cadillac for years to Florida and back with no accidents. Besides the trailer salesman told me so!!!

"Since diesel is made from oil, it's perfectly fine to have your crankcase full of diesel. Won't harm a thing. "

"You can't use any synthetics unless DC approves them. "

Translation: We haven't figured out how to make money on them yet.

" You can't use a filter unless it is on our list, either. "

Highly trained DC Cummins mechanic: "You can't adjust idle speed on the 97, it is sealed from the factory. "
