I went and saw Santa (jrandol) this afternoon and got my stage 2 kit. After looking things over quickly the kit seems to be professionally put together. The instructions appear to be simple and concise. The package is organized and labeled well. Now to plan the installation. Great job Snow Performance. We'll go from here.

Either Santa got lost and couldn't find Loveland or someone's holding my kit hostage:eek:

So Mike, how hard is this install going to be?

What size tap do we need for the nozzles?

Who's going to be the first brave soul to nail the throttle? I'm still a little nervous over what might happen.

Santa is getting eager to put this thing on, who knows, maybe the wifes exploder will get your kit on it Matt!! j/k :D

Brave soul? I'm your huckleberry!

That makes 39.

mgoncalves, now you have to buy yours from jrandol:D Should have read the fine print.

Looks like it's gonna' be a hell of a weekend. Why be nervous, just turn it on, mash the throttle, and hang on!

I have tools and a garage that will hold 1 truck if you don't mind being 4" off the work bench, but we can always leave the tail end hangin' out and put up a tarp if it's cold. I have heat too.

sticks, I have 3 more to add to the list. Did we break 40????? Oo.

OK, I received 1 request via PM that was not forwarded by you.

We were 37, + my 1, + your 3 = 41 and we have 6 more days for people to get on board. Send me the names.

And to think Matt did not think we would get the original minimum.

Yeah Matt is pretty slammed!! He said on top of our order his current dealers are really stocking up and he has several dealers that are trying to get signed on, all before Christmas! Matt's a neat guy, apparently he sells these Internationally. He has a dealer in Germany or somewhere else in Europe that does a lot of business with him. He's 1 smart cat. 6 years working for Bosch's most high tech distributor, his knowledge of injection stuff had my lost in a matter of seconds. Glad to see we could get together such a great crowd and do business with a great dude!

Ordered mine on Tuesday. Will be about 3 weeks before I get it. Am waiting on the Heavy Duty Variable Controller that works with the Diesel Stage 2 kits. Matt said they are testing them now and should be ready by then.

Thanks to Dan "sticks" and Jeff "jrandol" for setting this up with Matt.

Also to Mr. Fulmer, (sorry Jim, I couldn't resist :D ), for his input on these kits.

Brad

Well, I got a list from Matt of those members that have placed their order, and it does not do me a damn bit of good, since all I have are member names, not given names.

There are still about 19 of you that need to place your orders.

I added 4 more names to the list, but I think some of them are from Jeff, so the total is now at 42.

I would like to get a price on the kit. I am running an Edge Drag Comp, Haisley's #12/7 hole EDM's, Twins(HX-35/HT3B). Where do you store the water/meth? Where do you buy the mixture?

Sounds like you want the stage 2 kit for sure. Price is $329. 25 + shipping ($10) on the group buy, regularly $439. You store Water/Methanol in the tank that comes with the system. If I remember right its 2 quarts. Some guys are using the windshield washer fluid tank for more capacity. I want to go some distance and have fluid so I am going to get a 10 gallon tank and put it in my inbed toolbox and run a line up to the pump from there. Matt Snow is in the process of getting such a tank finished up for us very soon. I think he is waiting for the brackets right now. Best place to buy pre-mix? Anywhere you buy windshield washer fluid, just make sure it contains methanol. For the best results mix your own. You can buy methanol at most race shops/speed shops or at the local drag strip, etc..... Consult with Matt or guys who really know this stuff about mixtures, might try Jim Fulmer.

Hey Guys, we need to step it up and get this group purchase done here. So if you have sent sticks or I the required information than please call in your order as soon as you can. From my records we have more than 40 who signed up and sent us info but only 22 have actually made the purchase so far. Relax, theres still time to get it made but please do so as soon as you can. Matt has been gracious enough to allow us to do this, lets show him the respect from the TDR and get this GP moved thru so he can go on and build his business with new dealers and product lines.

There has been 1 occasion already in which a member did give us the required info and he didnt get added to the "list" of approved GP buyers. sticks and I are working diligently to try and keep the list straight, its alotta work and information to sort out. If this does happen to you dont get discouraged, just PM myself or sticks (preferably both) and we will call Matt asap and remedy the problem.

Thanks again everyone who has joined in, and really you all are welcome!! I am having fun organizing this and I know sticks is too. Early reports from this system show really positive results, I look forward to hearing more from all of you on how your truck reacts to the system.

Here's some reading while everyone's waiting click here

I have used this system on my turbo bike, its nice, don't know if would would work on a diesel, it seems they would need a lot of water. and click here too

Ok I am intrested in getting the injection system but I live up here in Alaska. I'm just wondering if that would be a concern or not? And where can i find a manual for the system? Will the grid heater be a concern of igniting the methanol?

Good Questions!

The link above has a copy of the installation/operation instructions, and a FAQ page. Since you are in a more extreme environment, I would not want to be running a low mix of water/meth, no less than 60/40 (H2O/CH318OH) respectively. You should not have to worry about the meth getting ignited by the grid heaters. You would not want to use the system (it is turned off) until your truck is warmed up, and by then your grid heaters are off.

In such extreme environments as yours, I would think that you may hit a point of diminishing returns with the boost cooler. It would seem that you would not need it during your winter season except maybe on the dyno. I would be concerned about cooling your intake too much and reach a point of failed ignition in the cylinders (READ driving around with ambient temps of 10*F). I do not have all the facts on this, and my above statement could be completely wrong here. Let me get back to you on this one.

sticks, I finally fell off the fence after sitting there a long time and am ready to buy as soon as I hear from you. Thanks.

I finally got around to ordering mine this morning. Matt said I was #25 on the group buy. Looking forward to trying it out.

Thanks again Jeff and Sticks. :)
