Group Purchase On Rob Thomas Traction Bars

I have never had anyone mention an aftermarket tank while ordering a set of these bars, so I doubt anyone has done it.



How much further towards the front of the truck does that tank extend, versus the stock tank? I can tell you that if it does go further forward, and is still very close to the frame, you will have to either drop, or lossen the tank to gain enough room to slide in the inner frame mount. However, you only need about 1" of room between the tank and the frame to get that mount in place, so if you can lossen the tank straps, push the tank away from the frame 1", you should be all set.

Do these bars line up right if I've lifted the rear by a couple inches?



Maybe a 2" drop on the front mount of something to keep the angles as designed... ???????

i just wanted to drop a line on here. i own a set of rt bars. i have then on my pulling truck. they work great for that. i haven't twisted a pinion off in over 20 hooks this year. but the best thing about them is the improvement of ride quality and the handling. it drives and rides now better than it ever has before. and towing a trailer WOW! they work great! can't wait to get a set for my tow truck. jmho, nick

i would like a set but am planning on a 4. 5" skyjacker with an add a leaf on the back. would this matter on how long the bars are? would they change from the stock height to the 4. 5" lift or just drill new hole in the frame to move the front of the traction bar back a little?
