2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Half pod & gauge installation questons

I searched & found that most of the links with instructions are dead. I have no issues with the underhood part, but for the half pod & wire routing I would like some pointers. Does the original pillar cover need to be removed for wire routing? how does it come off? I assume it snaps on?

Thanks for any help, I plan to do it this weekend.

the origional A-pillar cover unsnaps (give it a pull), and you can run the wires up behind it. I ran the wires through a hole I drilled in the firewall - then up to the fuse block - and to the A pillar. This process is simplified by fishing a stiff wire from the top of the dash down to the floor, taping anything you want pulled up to your gauges to this wire and then pulling the bundle up the gauges. I hope this makes sense.
