Here is my story. I have a 2015 with 83,000 miles. I got a check engine light and then a see dealer for exhaust system service. Truck started blowing black smoke and then quit me, also there was no countdown to limp mode. I was going to delete it and thought I would double check that it was out of warranty. I had been told emissions warranty was 80,000 miles but when I called the dealer much to my surprise they said it was under warranty. I gave them the VIN number to double check it and they assured me about 10 times that it is covered. I got a call today that it is not covered by warranty. They said dpf was full and a sensor was out, I don’t know what that would cost but I’m sure it’s expensive. The truck has been sitting at the dealers lot for 6 days. Really upset now I guess I have to figure out a way to get it to a shop that will do the delete. Do any of you know what a clogged dpf filter costs to clean and if it’s even worth it?
