2003 2500 172,000 miles 4x4 regular cab long bed. To the question I have noticed lately that when applying the brakes the brake pedal seems to go down about an inch during normal braking and the pedal is really stiff almost like there is no hydro boost at all. In traffic my leg starts to get tired due to pushing so hard on the pedal. I am just wondering if anyone else has had this problem. The truck stops good just with a lot of pressure on the pedal. Thanks in advance for any replies.

Power steering pump has failed or the hydroboost is failing. Some times the pump fails and spits crud into the hydro assembly and jams it. Have you flushed the power steering on recommended basis?

Well I guess I wasn't aware that the power steering system should be flushed. What is the procedure for flushing the power steering system?
