eBay Motors: VP44 VP-44 Dodge injection injector pump rebuild kit (item 260197083892 end time Jan-04-08 20:45:53 PST)I need a new injector pump. I was looking on ebay and found a seal kit . I was just wondering how hard it really is to rebuild and how much all the necessary parts are. Does it really cost the remanufactures that much or are just getting what the market will bear? Also what do they do to a "HotRod" pump? Is it just a tweak to the computer or do they upgrade the parts as well? The only company I've found that actually tells you much about what they have done in Bluechip Diesel and all they say is that they put in a harded steel sleeve for the shaft to ride in. If im going to have to spend 1200-1900 bucks id like to have somewhat on an idea what I'm getting.

i would not buy anything from diesel care if they were the last diesel shop in the world. i should have known better than to buy a vp44 from e screw espescially since diesel care already had ta least one other complaint against them for not returning the vp 44 core chrarge of 400 bucks. i called and emailed them and even had my friend at ups look up the documents off the guys name that recived and signed for my core !#@$%!#@$%! after two years still no refund

I got mine from MWFI ran about a grand and they had a local branch so no core!! also many places dont charge for core upfront. Not sure on the cost, I think the ENTIRE diesel market is WAY too high for stuff that really isnt. I think mud flaps cost more if you look it up under diesel!!LOL! Good luck with your pump, whatever you choose!!

To be able to rebuild the pumps you need more than just a seal kit off of e-bay. I can get ya either pump the reg or the HR. The HRVP cost a bit more because it comes with a new case, well most all the parts in the HR are new and a little tweaking, more than I can elaborate on. All the pumps I sell have a new PSG installed and the biggest reason you can not do it yourself is unless you have access to a test stand you will not get it calibrated. All of my pumps come from Industrial Injection... ... ... I did not want you to think I did my own... ... ... ... BTW I have seen the kits on e-bay and they look to be the obsolete seals.
