Just got my package from Energy Suspension to with poly bushings or the rear leaf springs and front sway bar. Oo. Oo. Anyone have any experience with the install of the rear spring polys? Tips? Advice?

Thanks!

Brian :)

t looks like heavy work

I was thinking about changing mine too. It looks like heavy work (R & R Leaf pack). The OEM rubber bushing might need to be pressed out?

I hope they'll just fall out

I have all weekend with great weather in the forecast so there's no rush. I'm hoping my AirLift airbags will come in handy for raising the truck off the axle

They are a pain in the A$$ the first time, on the drivers side you have to drop the tank to get the bolt out of the way all the others are easy except they are heavy and clumsy, a hyd press is a have too without a doubt. Look at it this way, once you've done it your done and you can get the (been there doen that shirt);)

When I put on new rear leaf springs, I just unbolted the tank strap at the rear and loosened the front strap and let the tank sag to get the leaf spring bolts out. I'd support the tank with a floor jack if it's full of fuel.

Sorry, guess I should have clearified drop it out of the way, Dane's idea will work just fine, two floor jacks will work even better.

I haven't looked at my truck to see if this'll work but...

Instead of dropping the fuel tank, cut the head off the bolt, and pull it out from the other side.
