Has anyone had the new re-flash that came out this Tuesday(6-12-07) My truck is still in the shop & I was just curious if anyone has had the newest re-flash done yet & if it worked. Im waiting on a sensor that they had to oder overnight in. They had a hard time getting parts because there isnt any yet.

I got the new up-date re-flash yesterday... I will keep yall posted as to how it does, but so far im really impressed.

My overhead console used to say I was getting 14mpg, which when you check it by hand it was 13mpg. Now the overhead is saying 17. 5 so I will run this tank out & calculated by hand to see if its right... The truck is running stronger than it has since new. It feels like it actually has more pep... off the line it feels like its got more get up than before…

I ran it all day yesterday in town & purposely left it idling to see if the dpf would clog... so far so good. .

I had 165 miles on my truck when the MIL went on today. I have an appointment to have it checked on Monday but this sure doesn't sound encouraging from all of the other posts that I've read.

Picked up new truck pre-flashed on Thursday at Dishman.

700 miles plus when got home.

Short version: Delighted, zero issues.

Will post more complete report before too long.

Pat and I love this truck.

6. 7 QC, DRW, LB, auto, Laramie H, etc. ,etc.

I have not had the flash done and I have not had any issues

I am going to try to get the flash done tomorrow. I am hoping for the 3-4 mpg increase from my best of 15. 1 i will post updates

Can one just drop by a dealer and ask for a reflash? Do you have to complain about something in a TSB to get it done? I am dealin with a big 5 star dealer. I am thinking they are not going t reflash for the heck of it.

Again I have had 0 issues with the truck I am very careful where I purchase fuel from I paid 55 more cents per gallon last week than the local generic station becuase I knew the fuel was ULSD I spoke to the tech who is doing my reflash tomorrow he said they just had one in the dealership with about 300 miles on it and the DPF was clogged they charged the guy to pump out the low sulfer diesel that the customer put in his tank and put in ultra low sulfer diesel. they did the reflash to the truck and the thing still was reading clogged. I am not sure what happended after that he was not the one who did the work on the truck he did say the truck is back on the road.

I picked up my new '07. 5 with 6. 7 two weeks ago. My dealer provided a full tank of fuel from a local station which turned out to be NOT ULSD!!!!!!!!!!!!! go figure. So far no problems save for poor mileage and driveline shudder under load, AND very noisy A/C which doesn't cool worth a ****.

No TSB

I just visited my dealer and he said there is NO such TSB. I called my dealer from another city and he said the same thing. I waited around for 3 hours to give Dishman Dodge a chance to open. I called and spoke to Larry in service. He said there is no such TSB. :-{}

Go figure. It would be nice for you guys to give us the TSB number you had installed.

Ill ask my dealer what the tsb # is. . they are full of sh_ _.

They first have to hook your truck up to star-scan, then they erase your program, then install new software, then they have to drive it with star-scan hooked up to finish programing. All your service guy has to do is call the Star-scan people & download the software & instructions on how to do the update... May save you trouble in the long run.

I got an email from Adam on the regen reflash. It could be TSB 18-033-07 Rev A. Not exactly sure if this is the lastest TSB on this issue but it could be. This TSB is dated June 12, 2007.

I got mine done this morning

not sure of any TSB numbers he connected the scan tool and it took the part number off of the chip in my trucks computer. He also had to climb under the truck to get a part number off of something else I got the truck at the end of April it needed three flashes done. I beileve he said one was for the transmission controller. i also had him turn on the high idle.

i have only drivin it about 20 miles with 3000 lbs on the back my fuel mpg went from 9. 9 to 9. 1 which means nothing and it stalled once on start up after I got home and needed to go out again. I plan to put alot of miles on the truck I i will post an update to let people know how it turned out.

My truck is back at a different dealer this time. Died on the road pulling about 20k. The original dealer said they performed the 18-033-07-A reflash but it would not start regenerating. I believe he erased everything in the memory and now it is plugged up completely. It is also setting some codes that are not on my obd II sheet. P 242F, P 1451, and P 2463. Anyone have any idea what those mean. This truck went for 50k miles with absolutely no problems, then turned into a sack of c--- that apparently no one has an answer for.

While in Abilene last week, my brother's 3500 chassis cab (6. 7/G56) would not start. Wouldn't even crank. Had it towed to Star Dodge. They could not even get their diagnostic tool to communicate with the PCM. They ordered new PCM, and said that they had to take off the Particulate Trap and clean it... I don't know what that has to do with anything... Anyway, that was last week. Still no news. The dealer indicated that they are having lots of problems with the 6. 7 PCMs. . "Dropping like flies" was the phrase the dealer used:mad:

He had to borrow a truck to get back to New Mexico.

My brother wishes he had his 2003 back... .

EB those codes you listed are as follows:

P1451 - Diesel Particulate Filter System Performance

P2463 - Diseel Particulate Filter - Soot Accumulation

P242F - Diesel Particulate Filter REstriction - Ash Accumulation

Hope this helps.

Thanks, those make sense. Like I said in my post, when the reflash was done, the tech said that it wasn't regenerating and sent me away with it. It obviously just filled up with soot. Hopefully it can be cleared and made to work properly.

I had the reflash 18-033-07 done today.

I went in cuz the "oil change required" msg came up on the overhead.

I asked about the reflash so they looked it up. they had not heard about it so they downloaded it and printed out about 10 pages. took a couple hours. I think at one point they thoght they screwed it up but seems ok. the service mgr says the high idol activation was part of the reflash. I hope all is wel cuz we have a 500-6000 mi trip at the end of the week.

What was that old adage! "Wait until the second year before purchasing a new model"

It is good that you guys are out there doing extended field testing!

KWAYNE, any updates? I want to schedule mine for the reflash in the next week or two, but hoping to hear some success stories first.

Thanks!
