Wow, they are really not very customer service oriented at DC. I wonder how much you have to spend on a vehicle before a dealer says "this guy spent 75 grand, if a fuel pump fails, darn right we will replace it as long as it does not have 200,000 miles on it!" I mean, $50k trucks with teenage girl mentality customer service for them?

I am a few weeks late in posting my results. I also sent in a letter with copies of my receipts and stating the trouble I had with the Tier 2 rep. She called me back in November and I got a check for $1200 that covered the part but not the lavor. JC

i was thinking of sticking a small voice recorder in my pocket and going to my five star dealer and having the salesperson explain to me the warranty on the new diesels. the wording does contradict itself. I guess they really don't care, there going to deny it to the end anyway. until everyone gets together with a class action suit against chrysler, these petty small claims against the dealer aren't going to do anything. I you show proof of them taking care of someone elses truck they took care of with 136000 miles they just state "it's on a case by case basis" ??

Class Action?? Might be necessary

#@$%!#@$%!#@$%!

Notice talk about Chrysler and a Class Action Lawsuit. For us Canadian types, we are still challenged with grossly inflated prices 2008 Ram 3500 - $72,000??? I purchased a truck in the states and Chrysler Canada will not honour the warranty!!! I was kinda politely told to **** off, that the trucks sold in Canada are different that the US trucks... D'uh... Let me see... DTRL ok. That a setting in the computer. KPH vs MPH. . Okay thats Km in bigger type than Miles. And... kinds ran out of excuses since they all come form Saltillo.

Sorry to rant but we Canucks are the proverbial DUCKS... and whats happening to us rhymes with Ducks...

Used to be corporations put the customers first. Frankly the C Suite is filled with narcissistic SOB's that don't give a damn about customers or service. Just Beat the Street!!!!

Count me in I like tilting a WindMills... #@$%!

Canadian Class Action Suit - Web Page

:-laf Ok, I did some digging today and found out that there is an action underway against the major manufacturers for price fixing and non competitive activites i. e. denying access to warranty. Seems that Free trade works for the manufacturers (an integrated North American system) but not the sucker consumers.

Heres a link to the page to sign up for the suit...

Well I'm am persistent. . Sent a snarky note to cry-sler Canada a few weeks ago asking if they had come to their senses. I got the following response -

Dear Mr. Webster:

Thank you for your email of March 7th, 2008.

As a matter of corporate policy, when a U. S. vehicle is exported to Canada, the remaining factory warranty becomes void. Regrettably, as your 2008 Dodge Ram is of U. S. origin, all remaining factory warranty has been void.

While we regret that we cannot provide a more favourable reply, we appreciate you letting us state our position in this matter.

Of course no Chrysler SUIT is accessible, it's a call center with hourly employees fielding the notes.

The ONLY thing Chrysler is accomplishing by these Gangster tactics is alienating the die hard fans. Love truck, *uck the company. If GM offered the Cummins.....

Night Fans!

Good stuff here... ...

Has anyone considered the safety factor of "sudden and unexpected de-fueling may cause loss of control" and contacted the Federal Highway Safety Administration?? They recall vehicles for FAR less. My buddy John's 2002 is having the "dead pedal" occur, and it's usually at an inopportune moment- Merging with traffic, climbing hills etc.
