I haven't been stranded yet, knock on wood. However, I did have to do a u-turn when I lost the #3 injector on I-40 about 50 mile west of Amarillo. Luckily I was able to limp into the dealership. Since then I have lost two more injectors, including #3 again! But, still have not been stranded, YET!

Shame on Dodge. Three injectors with less than 60,000 miles is embarrassing.

I fell victim to the dreaded lift pump. It died on me while I was towing my rock crawler to go wheeling. Luckily I was only about 2 miles away from the campsite at the trail head. I managed to get to the campsite, wheel all weekend and then had a buddy tow my trailer/rig home and got a flatbed wrecker to tow the CTD home. I was up and running later that week when the raptor LP arrived and got installed. No problems since then... .

My 07, 3500, 2 injectors went out about 350 mi from home, Down in Wyo. the power stearing went out, In Hardin Montana the turbo changed pitch, it made it to Billings and the dealer said, because he was busy, to bring it back Mon. I asked if it would hurt the motor and he said NO, I told him that I live 140 miles away, He said " It should be ok " The only thang that was wrong was that the turbo needed to be scrapped out about three hours labor, And the $400 crank filter needed to be changed... The motor burned down on the back to Billings... This was at about 79000 miles. It had to be towed...

2005 dodge ram one time i lost front bearing. and another time my turbo went bad so i had to take home and weld so i didnt loose all oil

My 07 broke the input shaft while the torque convert was locking and and unlocking while going up a hill but it was the junky factory transmission. My 93 hotshot truck 3 times. My 99 powerstoke with 320k never did lay down on me but it only put 325hps to the wheels so it did get get passed alot.

MIne just left mt stranded om Hwy 14 close to Chambers lake Colo. VP 44 took a crap. )1 2500 with just over 100,000 miles.

been stranded 2x (both times by the same rig, my white 2003) at about 34,000 a injector broke and leaked fuel into the oil. at about 120ishK i lost the FCA. other than that, good to go on 4 of them. totaling about 300,000 miles between them.

At 12600 miles, no trailer, slight down grade when all of a sudden... . BOOM

Keep in mind that this happened 600 miles over what DC feels is adequate for the lifespan of the clutch installed in my truck. Warranty did not cover any of the cost and more or less told me to pound sand.

However, the service manager, the sales manager who closed the deal back when I bought the truck and the owner of the dealership did step up. There was obviously some kind of defect here and they knew it. The owner ended up covering 100% of the cost himself.

My '99 left me stranded twice. The first time it was towed to the dealer, still under warranty, and after 4 days of trial and error testing was given back to me. I don't recall what repair they claimed to have done.

After getting about 2 miles from the dealer it died again. It turned out to be a faulty fuel sender and there was no fuel in the tank when the gauge showed 3/4.

My old '91 left me stranded once when the battery blew up.

My '05 has left me stranded twice in the last month after the transmission was rebuilt by the dealer, both times the transfercase linkage fell apart and it wouldn't go into 4wd.

Today, mine just did.

Injectors just dumped at 200k. Just got back from the car rental shop.

I'm here in Cody Wy and our fifth wheel is in West Yellowstone. Was supposed to leave today and pick up the fifth wheel and head back home.

Once with a clogged fuel filter from dirty fuel. Turned truck off in a parking lot and it refused to start after that. Walked to nearby Target in 103° heat, bought pair of pliers drained fuel filter canister, removed filter smaked it on ground, put everything back together, and she started right up after priming. I now carry a boony box.

Once but I knew it would. Injection pump was leaking when i left home to get it fixed. I made it about 20 miles of my 170 mile trip before she finally let go completely and left me and my daughter on the side of the road. I got it towed home and then onto a trailer and got it fixed. It ran better than it ever had before with the replacement IP on it.

Front drive shaft.

Stated feeling a rumble in top gear. I started heading to the trans shop. It wasn't the transmission, it was the road speed. While on my way, the shaft (and the double joint with the entering ball) let go. I tried to get the shaft out on the side of the 400, but I didn't have a long enough torx socket. I had to have it flat beded to work where I could pull the shaft. Drove it as a two wheel drive for a month until I got around to having the front shaft rebuilt.

With 60k in my garage. Started but didn't have enough power to move itself. Bad cam sensor and injector wiring. Ran great when I parked it. Go figure. Yep, I was stranded at home.

No. 454,000 miles between the the wife's truck and mine never have been walking. Tomorrow is a new day... ... ... ... .....

Never, eleven years and 100k with my '97' and now my '07' just 4 months and 8k. I don't see why I should be stranded if I keep up with my maintenance. Of course now that I shot off my big mouth I hope someone will help me out as I sit on the side of the interstate with smoke boiling out of my engine compartment#@$%!.
