I'm looking for a plug and play, no cutting or hacking, running off fog lights and backwards switches or butcher jobs.

What is a nice HID kit that works in an 06 , and where do you get them for headlamps and fog lights? I don't care if they are illegal. I need more light. .

thanks,

I don't care if they are illegal. I need more light. .
 You need more light on the road so you can see better, turning up the output on the factory lenses will get you a tad more light on the road at the expense of stray light everywhere else where you don't need it. Maybe consider adding lights that would work better and be more focused.

Let you guys know how the ram turns out...
Cool, I know there are lots of Charger owners that are getting away with HID's in the oem housings, guess the cut-off is good enough. Maybe the 06+ trucks are better than the 03-05's

The Charger owners have been getting theirs here: VVME. COM LLC Your Best HID KIT Supplier

Don't forget the headlamp feed is PWM so a separate harness with relay should be used otherwise the ballast will not get the power it needs and you may get a "lamp out" message too.

I resisted for a couple of days.

It is inconsiderate of every one on the road.

:{:{..... so is smoke and lifted trucks behind you at stoplights, and BMW SUV's and so and so on.

Its inconsiderate of Dodge to give us these crapy light to begin with.

I dont have the HID's but the ones if seen in 3rd gen trucks are not bad at all. They are no worse than any of the other HID's that are OEM.

You have a point, I suppose lifted trucks that have not bothered to re-aim their lamps may even be worse than HID kits that are at least aimed. . dunno but its hard to get past doing a mod that deliberately causes eye strain to oncoming traffic and you never know just how bad the other drivers eyes are.

Just tonight I was faced off with a lifted chebby & obvious HID kit in a twisty canyon, I couldn't see a thing with my 50 year old eyes for a few sec.

I hear ya... ... I drive over a long dark hill @ 0100 home from work and i get blasted by the HID's as well. If you aim them correctly its not that bad. The ones that get you are usally not OEM and are lifted in some way.

My '06 came stock with excellent headlights. I don't understand why some people on here say that they are crappy. Now my '94 and '98. 5 needed upgrading but not this truck. Diffferent Strokes for Different Folks or Night Vision issues I guess.

some may need their lights adjusted, around here seems like the one thing not done after the leveling, tire changes and lift kits is the headlite adjustments.

WOW, just finished the install, and took the truck for a night test run with the new HID lights from HID Headlights : Xenon Lights : HID Kit : Xenonking.com all i can say is WOW! I should have done this sooner. . best money spent on the truck. . I don't care what anyone says, the dodge headlights SUCK stock. . After driving my cars with xenon lights, you can't have regular lights anymore. . I HIGHLY recomend this mod to any dodge truck owner, you will LOVE it if you drive at night.

they are not that bad on the other drivers... i haven't got any flashes yet... the level isn't bad on them. the stock reflectors shape the light allmost the same as stock bulbs. Plus where I am, allmost every other car has HID's so I blend in now. I LOVE EM!
