I have a 1999 2500 vin # 1B7KF2361XJ506279 and would like to do the FORD front axle swap in order to end up with manual hubs on the front axle..... ANY and ALL advice is appreciated as to determining which FORD DONOR axle I would need,

THANKS!!!!!

I assume that you have though of adding a locking hub kit to you truck and just diabling the axle lock? It would be easier and cheaper I would think.

92-94 and 95-97 should work. It needs to be a Dana 60 out of an F-350. F-250 Dana 50 parts will not work. You will be happy with it, especially if you do the whole outer knuckle. That will give you the Ford double piston calipers. Good luck.

what about a 2002 with the different knuckle. . ie the ball joints on th eaxle c instead of the outer knuckle. . then the food knuckle won't work. can you just adapt the spindle and the stub axle into the 2002 dodge outer knuckle?

Thanks,

Deo

D50 parts will fit but you will have to get a stub axle from a D60. You will need a Ford D50/ D60 ball joint front end. you will have to drill the spindle to fit your Dodge knuckle. I am now the wrong computer and I can't give you my bookmarks for this mod but Google search got me all the info I needed.
