Axekicker, you bring up an interesting point. In both of the wrecks my truck was involved in, the air bags didn't go off when there was major front end damage. I also know of 5 other incidents in other DC products where the air bag did not deploy with substantial front end damage. Two of these incidents were in 1999 vehicles. Is this a problem that DC needs to address? No one was seriously injured in the accidents I mentioned because they were wearing their seatbelts. I personally don't care for the air bag system. That is my own opinion, but is DC is going to offer the air bag system in it's vehicles it should at least work when it is supposed to.

Along those lines, does anyone know who builds the airbags for our trucks? I worked building the assembly line machines for most of the airbag manufacturers in the US. I am now VERY respectful of the explosive device immediately in front of me. I am convinced that it increases my safety, but it is still a small bomb about 1 foot away from me. No coffee cup in MY hand in hazardous road areas!
Glad to hear everyone is ok or recovering from their collisions.
