Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Heavy Smoke at Startup ! WHY ?

Just finished a complete engine rebuild. Now it smokes quite a bit at startup. Looks mostly white but there is a blue tinge to it. I swapped the injectors-- no change. Any thoughts.

How long has it been since you did the rebuild ?

Finished the rebuild right before TiM. Engine has about 600 miles on it !!

Injection pump O. K? And how is the PDR doing ... any signs of bushing weepage? White sends me more tward fueling / timing / injection pump sorta thang. Does it smell "Fuel laden"? Low compression can do it too but you are just off a fresh rebuild (All within specs I can only assume)
