2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission HELP A/C compressor blowing out freon

I bought a 96 and tried to recharge the air conditioning today and it would blow out the back of the compressor. Do i need a new comprssor?Or is there a blowoff valve that can be changed. Thanx Quentin

Mine is doing that too but it still gets cold

I was told there was moisture in the system when it blew off like that. After it blows a little, it still gets cold.

Is the compressor toast or does it just need to be vacuumed out and recharged?

I had it to the shop and they vacumed it and threre was no leaks,but when they try to fill it and run it would spit out the back.
