When I lived in Alabama, at the certain time of year when it was nesting time, birds would try to nest everywhere. A favorite spot was the paper tube under my mailbox. Clean it out, birds would often be back within half an hour. Make the mistake of forgetting about them and go out to fetch the mail, all hell broke loose as I walked up to the mailbox. It was like Pearl Harbor all over again.
My truck DID sit a lot, and wasps entered the drivers front wheel well and built a nest in the drivers side battery box. That was an interesting experience when I unknowingly popped the hood. But that's a story for another time...
