Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Mufflers

This truck has run perfect since day one (and even better with mods). Today, I stop at the Tacoma Flying J, take on 16 gallons, and drive 50 miles north. The engine started stumbling at the exit, and stalled out prior to me shutting it off. On startup it stalled a few times, had a generous amount of white smoke, and stalled every time I put it in gear. While running, the engine was surging. I called Bill K. and he said it sounds like a fuel issue. I stopped at an auto parts store and poured a quart of PS fuel conditioner in. I then stopped at Randy's Off Road, and they got a code 601 or 602. Despite more difficulty, I got it back down to Seattle, and it ran perfect on I-5. More trouble again at low RPM's, and stalling on the restart.

1. Does this sound like a water/fuel issue?

2. Is this a VP44 deathbed situation?

3. Any other ideas?

How was your fuel pressure ?

I would say there is a definate possibillity that its may be your Catcher Contact Wagner and ask em'

P0601 (M) Internal Controller Failure Internal control module fault condition (check sum)

detected.

P0602 (M) ECM Fueling Calibration Error ECM Internal fault condition detected.

Good Luck

I have a RASP system. The fuel pressure is always over 12 psi.

I left Bob a phone message, and am waiting for him to call back.
