I purchased a kit from Genos to fix the PS leak. I had no problems with the tear down or install of the new seals. I pulled the whole unit out (vaccum pump and coupler shaft) and reinstalled it with no problems. That is until I started it and had no PS or brakes. I have taken the unit back out and am inspecting my work and it looks fine.

I am out of ideas and getting tired. I also have to drive this truck home in morning, please any help would greatly be apreciated.

Did you bleed the system?

I'm guessing you disconnected the power steering lines?

Get the front tires off the ground, turn the wheel lock to lock with the truck off 5-10 times. Fire it up, hold the brake pedal down, and turn lock to lock 5-10 times. Keep an eye on the p/s level... don't want the pump to suck air and unbleed the system again.

Thank you very much, this is the same advise that I got from fixinrams.com after a desperation call at 1am. I really hated to wake him up, but I needed help. The amazing thing is that he anwsered the phone and was extremely helpful. Matter of fact he gave me the same information that you did.

At any rate this fixed it and all is well, including no oil leak. Thank you to everyone again.
