Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) help my truck is broke

i got problems with my transmission

i had it rebuilt at 240K

and worked fine until the $1100

transfer case went out at about 270k replased it with new $1200

then 2 months later i took it back in for a leak around the

t-case andand it had a cracked ext housing and rear tcase cover $700

1 month after complained of leak around front drivers side of trans.

1 month later finally got it in to be looked at. shop said it was

oil from vent tube i said no but went on my way

i extended my vent tube past trans and leak still present

replased pto cover gasket leaking still

1 month later took back to shop and they found a crack in the trans

cast iron case said that it was a different leak and

it must have been something i did to bind the transmission

i did no such thing unless driving it on the highway causes it to bind

and break "i doubt that"



any suggestions

Maybe it would be worth your while to investigate a different shop?

Are you the original owner? If not, is it possible that the truck was in an accident prior to your possession? This sounds similar to the situation my cousin went through. At some point, his '95 was involved in a collision. There was some damage done to the frame which caused the drive line to to be out of alignment and suffer frequent failures. Took him several repair bills to figure out the root cause and get it fixed properly. Keep us posted.

Try checking motor\trans mounts.

I think frame damage possibility.

i bought the truck with 200k and had no problems untill 240k i've looked all over the frame and have found no marrs from straighting and the truck sits perfectly strait i've measured from the ground to the frame on all 4 frame pionts all is good it was orginally a CC but it dose have a bed on it now so i don't think it was wrecked when i went to look at the truck it had a camper on it i did not want the camper so i had the owner remove it. and i had the motor mounts and trans mounts checked and they said they were good.
