HELP!!!!!Need final advice in SF bay area. going truck shopping today!

My buddy and I are going truck shopping today with cash in hand in the Sf bay area looking for the 03 or possible 04 ordered CTD.



Any advice on rebates, or dealers ( 100 mile radius)that are willing to deal invoice or better?

Dodge dealer in San Jose, on capitol expressway, might not give great deals but they install Banks on the new trucks w/o warranty issues. Since the HO isn't available in Cal they make the SO go better.

Give 'em a call at Redwood City Dodge. I got mine there and it was $99 over invoice. Took a while for the truck to be built, but it was the first week you could order the new generation.

Be sure to ask for the Fleet manager. (Jim Povio is no longer there, but somebody should be able to help. )



Also, make sure to get the fold flat storage for the back seats.

Bug, call me or give me a number to reach you. I'm flying to OK to pick up my new "03. I have to have a six speed so no local dealer is going to deliver me what I need. Maybe with added purchases we could improve our position.

I live in Utah (Pat's son) but my dad lives in Gilroy, just south of San Jose, well we have bought both of his trucks used and saved a bunch and got the more hp trucks. Mine which I bought from him is 96 215 pump (not allowed in Cali. at the time) and his is an 01 HO 6sp so if you want the SO go for it but maybe consider waiting 6 months or so and buying a used HO 6sp or 48re, or find family out of state and register it there until you can bring it into Cali. I think Kellog Idaho has some of the best prices from what I have heard. Have fun.

A problem we have is the 6sp is not available in CA on a new basis. I do intend to reg out of state and then bring it here as a used vehicle. I intend to use this truck to replace my "99 for towing duty so I prefer the big manual over the auto for such chores. Otherwise we have a friend at So County in fleet sales that gives us a fair deal. I may ring him to inquire about used rigs as you mentioned. I have been in contact with Dave Smith motors but they only have silver available. I'm partial to red

He ordered a new 04

My friend ordered a new 04 at Manteca Dodge. I think it was 200 over invoice.



They were going to sell him a 03 $1000 under invoice ( combining the rebate for DC) but he wanted the truck he wanted. Can't blame him.

If I buy new, its going to be out of state, HO 6 speed myself. Probably next year.
