2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Help ... Overhead console removal

The light on my overhead console went out, the spring in it isn't springing. The Haynes repair manual says to take out the front screws and slide it back to remove the cover, but mine doesn't have any screws, at least that I can see. So how in the hell do I get that cover off? I didn't want to start prying around the edges, I've broken too many things like that. -- Doug

That procedure is only for 94-97's. The 99-up trucks don't have screws. I believe you need to pull down on the back and two clips will pop loose and then slide it backward to unhook the 2 front hooks.
