Help with EZ/engine problem

Hooked up an EZ on a '01 Ram and took it for a ride and the "Malfunction Indicator Light" came on, and stayed on, and absolutely no power. Rechecked the connections and the stock engine wiring harness connector into the supplied MAP sensor connector was loose. Tightened this connector up and all kinds of power, but the malfunction indicator light stays on. Any suggestions on what to do next? Should I disconnect a battery and hook back up? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

disconnect the neg(-) cable for at least ten seconds to clear codes.

I agree with unhooking the battery. To check for problems, look at the connectors on the EZ and make sure there are no plastice on the metal terminals. I have seen some aftermarket boxes that have plastic "flash" on the metal terminals. It also helps if you use dielectric grease anytime you unplug any electrical connectors. This keeps corrosion to a minimum.

to pull codes turn key on,off,on,off,and on count the flashes and pauses and flashes. post them here and someone can tell you what they are.

ex. on, pause, on,on,on,on=14=map sensor voltage too low/high

You guys are all genisus, did I spell that right? Anyway, the battery disconnect did the trick. I really appreciate you all coming on and helping this mechanically inept... . out.
