Anyone have the Pratical Diesel Soultions brand High Idler? If so is it worth the money? How was installation (looks like it just plugs in). ANy problems? Etc.

I have it,

It plugs into the wires for the throttle. and then a power wire, then you route the box and wires to the cab and I mounted it on the top of the sttering wheel box (next to flasher) and you have to adjust a dashpot to make 1500 max RPM at the max dial setting and done!

It Work great, If you are jumpstarting someone, it helps to get more juice to the dead battery. If you are idleing more than an hour, it keeps your engine a little warmer and prevents the washing down of cylinders from unburned fuel.

Hi don't have any answers for your question. I was just wondering where do you get and how much is this device. Thank you R. T. B.

It works great and easy to install. Well worth the money. I mounted mine to the left of the steering wheel on the panel just in front of my knee. Personal preference. You have to remember to rotate the control to off before driving or you will experience a loss of power at cruise speed. My Dodge dealer said that it should not be connected to avoid warranty problems. I have used it for 89,000 miles and will hook it back up at 100k. :)

I have one and it works great. But like Fcrawford said you have to turn it off or you'll have low power at WOT. Scared the crap outta me one day, somebody musta turned it just barely on and I didn't notice it. I couldn't figure out what was wrong, that was it. Anyways it's easy to install, basically plug in and route the wires and I think it's well worth the money. It's great to have at the snowmobile races... the truck doesn't put out too much heat at the stock idle rpm. :D

I like to use the "low power" feature when I let someone borrow the truck (which is very rare), a kinda built in valet. :D
