I have missed all of the big reunions of my class (5th, 10th, and 20th), never in town at the right time. I'd probably go to one just to see my old football team mates and other old buddies, but I wouldn't lose too much sleep if I missed one either.

Not many from my class went off to college so when I went off to UT I lost touch with a lot of my buddies. When I would come back on weekends they didn't seem very comfortable around me anymore, I never thought I changed at all but maybe I did, who knows. Didn't have time to worry about it back then, too busy building a new life and making plans.

Kinda funny to think I saw those people daily for 12 years, and now haven't seen most of them for more than 20. Haven't thought about them in years, but this thread made me try to recall some of them and doggone if the memories aren't as fresh as yesterday. Go figure.

Haven't been to any of mine. I haven't seen anyone from HS since the day I left. I am going to my 20th this fall. Should be interesting. I went to the wife's 5 and 10 year reunions, not much fun since I didn't know anyone.

I went to my 10 year, and the jerks were still the same. The 20 year was better. The hot chicks in HS were now fat twice divorced trailer trash. It was worth going for the entertainment value

You know I noticed the same thing, and I think it's that when you leave to goto college you to learn to live a little differently. I noticed when I hung around the friends that didn't move out of the house after graduating they still played the same "games" as when we were all in school.

That's just a guess of course. :)

I graduated from DeWolfe Continuation High School in Fresno, CA in 1969. I had a good job at Goodyear, wanted to continue working and attend school at the same time. My counsellor at my primary High School (McLean??/McLane??) said he thought I only wanted to quit school to work. I de-registered from that school and went over and registered at DeWolfe. There were only 12 of us in my class, but we all graduated. We don't have reunions - I don't know that I'd attend if we did have one. Especially since I've only been back to Fresno maybe 5 times in the past 30 years. Wouldn't recognize anyone anyway.
